Rumour has it ..

Rumour has it, it doesn’t ever slow down and as such, we’re supposed to be resting up and .. stuff

Pfft to that I say *laugh*  Actually I don’t think we’ve had MUCH choice in the matter, but hey.

Baby news is that everything is still going very well.  Renee has Group B Strep which just means antibiotics during labour – easy enough to deal with.  Aside from that, Cody was spot on position-wise up until last Friday.. wherein she dropped and she’s now engaged!

Our appointment with the doctor today was interesting .. he said it’s better for the baby if we can hold off another week, but we can either do it this week or next.  So it seems that our doctor will induce us next week!  Well, induced if nothing happens sooner anyways.  Feels a bit weird being on an official countdown now.  It’s no longer just something that’s gonna happen down the track, it’s now real and happening and happening next week at that.

Nursery stuff is all set now.  We got all the furniture together with help from a friend from work.  That was an amusing day   Carpet’s in and the painting’s finished, as is the wallpaper border.  Yay!  We’re actually really proud of the nursery - it came together really well   We even have the new blockout and sheer curtains in there and it looks great.  There’s pictures on Batty’s Blog.

Work is good - flat out but good.  I’ve been doing a fair whack of hours of late just to get as many loose ends as possible sorted out.  I’ve also been getting software upgrades done in the core of the network and since there’s 60 thousand users relying on it, it was never gonna happen in decent hours   My window for reboots is 5am-7am Tuesday mornings so there’s been a few of them of late which has been pretty difficult but there’s (hopefully) only one left and then I’m all done.  Can’t wait

The other big thing on at the moment as I said previously is my new venture, ridingsa.com.  It went live a tad prematurely so it ended up going live on dotnetnuke which was a bit of a shit cos dotnetnuke sucks for a project like this – you’d just need way too much money to make it viable as a home project.  I’ve started a new site on Joomla, Community Builder, Fireboard and Primezilla and hopefully after a bit more testing and playing around with it overthe next few days, it’ll go live

Between the baby stuff, work and ridingsa.com, it’s all a bit out of control! *laugh*  Maybe things will quieten down after the baby.  Hah!
