What a WEEK!

This week at work has probably been hell on Earth. Probably by about Tuesday, I was questioning whether I had chosen the right career path because I sure didn't feel like I was doing so well at it. Things kinda tumbled and fell and piled and exploded and it sure didn't help that I started the week out with a cold and ended it with a throat infection.

In amongst all the turmoil, I had the utmost displeasure at meeting someone I'd managed to avoid for two and a half years. To be honest, it was an event which could have happened closer to never and I'd be feeling better for it even now. I think I somehow kept her at arm's length and she didn't find a way in to my jugular. I also suspect that being female helped my cause because it sure could have been much worse. A little like the gentleman I had the displeasure of talking to right before I met her :P I have honestly been so sheltered from abusive customers over the last couple of years, that I was more than a little taken aback this week, dealing with people who probably weren't shitty at me so much as their own management.

*shudder* shitty week, made better only by the fact that I was coming home to Renee and Cody.

We are also currently waiting on more news on our sister-in-law. After having the mass removed with a portion of her lung and diaphragm, they performed a few other scans just to be sure of whether there were any other threats. Unfortunately, there seems to be a secondary mass, this time in her brain. She's had more scans this week and we're waiting for what's hopefully much more positive news early next week. Cancer is bollocks.
