been a long time :)

I can see the that lure of a blog is slowly wearing thin, but dammit, I will keep flogging the dead .. horse.  Is it dead horse in that phrase?  It felt like it should be donkey.

Anyways :)

My current display name is "Esmerelda Fillenheiny".  Flowed off the tip of my tongue and the last thing I put in a messenger window before I thought of that name was "assfucker".  I'll let you figure out the rest..

Changes abound in life and work.  There may be a bit of a reshuffle going on - who knows when and who knows whether it'll be a good or bad thing.  One can only really hope for good I guess.  The Daniels (the Marias for Batty's benefit) are leaving pretty soon and I'm starting to realise how much I'll miss them.  There's both the work factor and the company factor.  Seem to be getting a bit of a second wind with respect to the amount of work I can pull off at the moment so its really only the company factor that's doing my head in at the moment :)  Gonna be lonely, but as long as I have ICQ running it should be all good

Life wise, we're looking at a move to Canberra.  Not sure when at this stage .. Could be sooner, could be later, but I'm hoping for no later than 6 months at this stage.  We moved to Adelaide on my redundancy money and I saw how much it swallowed, so this time we'll actually need to plan for it.  Em's likely to break otherwise ;)

But yeah .. be good to get back east.  I like being here - little to no traffic, generally safe with respect to the raging bushfires that are going on at the moment, and near family.  Our little goddaughter knows who we are now so I'll be really sad to leave her just as she's becoming a big girl :)  Plus there's Paul and his kids - no more Cassie and her "aunty Benay" and "well, actuawy" *grin*

The kinda cool thing about Canberra (I hope) is that we're three hours closer to Adelaide, things are slightly cheaper than Sydney, and we're still only three hours from the people we want to see in Sydney.  Its still not Sydney, no .. but its close :)

*sniff* dammit.  Got smacked in the nose with a netball last night and since I got up this morning, my nose is blocked and strange feeling!
