Does it ever end? ;)

Today, two whole weeks after my surgery, I nearly landed back in hospital *again*! The pain in my right side got progressively worse to the point where I left work a bit early to head back to the doctor to see if I should be going back to the hospital or not. Another doctor, another theory or two *laugh*. At least today I'm not heading in - gotta see how I feel tomorrow, at which point I might be able to just head to the surgeon instead :)

Theories thus far:

Burnt - unlikely since where I'm sore, they cut, not burnt
Too stretched - quite possible
Perforation - ruled out with xrays and CT scan
Appendicitis - debatable - not entirely ruled out I suspect
Shingles - no rash (..yet?)
Stretched muscles - quite possible
Rough handling during sedation - unlikely since I wasn't moved from the bed I was on :)

So, we can at least rule SOME stuff out and today's trip to the GP was quite handy since he's the one that's come up with the stretched muscles option. Apparently that could take up to three weeks to repair - which leaves only one week for me to be back to normal :P Fingers crossed.

Everyone I've seen thus far, since ruling out perforation, seems to agree that its nothing too sinister which is good. The worst thing on the list is appendicitis and to be honest, that's not so bad compared to what its not ;)

Another day, another dr certificate. Have no intention of overdoing it at the moment :P
