We got us a big girl!

Grunge has transitioned from Waterbabies 2 to the Tadpole class at swimming this month - a bit earlier than normal, but she's more than ready :)

Waterbabies 2 means we're in the pool with her but being as independent as she is now, she doesn't actually need us in there when she has her backpack on, so it's really just the "Grunge swimming around the pool" show :P Admittedly, the classes are fun because she has fun with them with her independence. She has become fairly playful, so sadly, I will really miss having the classes with her.

Now, in Tadpoles, Grunge gets into the pool with her backpack on .. without us. She's in a class of 4 kids and she apparently stays in this class until she can swim across their segment of the pool (maybe 5m?) without a backpack on at all. This class requires a whole lot more from us rather than her, I think. She no longer has 1:1 supervision and no longer has us there right next to her so it's a leap of trust to put our kid in a pool under someone else's watchful eye.

All in all though, we all seem to be coping so far. We have SUCH a big girl now ;)
