slack ass :)

I am getting worse at this aren't I .. :)

Well, a lot's been going on. I had two interviews, got offered one of the jobs and stalled a bit to talk to my boss and figure out what's going on. Taking the honest approach, we let her know that I got offered the job (last Thursday was the interview, Monday afternoon I got an offer!). Things kind of got surreal after that.

You know when you picture, like, I dunno .. I felt like a black hole and things were coming towards me and I kinda accepted them. And we're not talking just little things. That said, I now have incentives to stay for either 6 months and then leave.. or 6 months and then take my pick of things to do, here or in Sydney. Its nice to feel wanted, but in the same breath its a bit same ol', same ol'. Things are only required when you're leaving. I'm not begrudging it - either way it helps our future, but to get it I have to be pretty trusting and that's the bit I don't like. There's a lot at stake.

That said, there's another aspect of work that I need to mention :) I know that one day the guys'll be reading this - today, tomorrow, in a year .. whenever. Sometimes I might be the green-eyed monster and sometimes I even behave like I am, but I am honestly happy for you both. If it wasn't what you wanted deep down, you wouldn't be taking the leap (again) and that alone is enough for me to smile at. I'm going to miss you both more than you could imagine cos you're both real important to me. *stopping before it gets silly* :)

Ummm other than that, I had a really good day in Sydney yesterday. I got to go out to a client and sell something to them. Hopefully they turn around and say "yes! sell us this!", but even if they don't, I know that's as much to do with them not wanting to spend money as whether I did a good job trying to sell it. Not bad for a first effort and to be honest I loved it :) Could have a lot to do with the fact that I knew their network inside out and there was nothing they could ask network-wise that I couldn't answer. Product-wise, sure cos I don't memorise price lists and stuff, but I managed to answer pretty much everything they had to say about it and that made me happy :)

Only other really major things in my life at the moment are Renee's new job. I like that she likes the people she works with and that the work's challenging. Her contract actually says that they want her to always be learning and that's fantastic :) Its nice that there's someone to learn from too, where training isn't available.

And the second major thing is Sally leaving for Lameroo! Well, she hasn't left yet but I miss her like buggery *very sad*. Between her and the boys leaving, its all very sad, but no one's too far away. Its not like we're talking about a whole nother continent even though sometimes it might feel like it :)

On that note, I'm off to play some Monopoly Tycoon *stupid game*. *yawn* and sleep!
