a-blogging we will go ..

Its been a ... big month :)  Short story: kitchen stuff, friend stuff, dog stuff, Xmas stuff :)

We are full steam ahead with our kitchen - we have all the bits and pieces and we have all our appliances paid for, so that's a load off our minds.  Now we just have to get the old one out (and sell it!) and get the new one in :)

Tying in with the whole kitchen thing is that our friends Skye and MD are coming to visit us and help us with (getting most if not all of) the kitchen in   Now, this has me excited on two fronts.  Sure we get our kitchen and DISHWASHER n stuff .. but most importantly, they're coming to Adelaide!!  I'm finding it rather hard to contain my excitement this close to their arrival *laugh*

Other than that, we've been getting to know our little dawg, Indy :)  She was really nervous with us at first - probably the long drive and being taken away from all her littermates and friends didn't help, but she's really settled in now.  Noah (our other dog) seems really protective of her and they're constantly playing which is really cool :)

Unfortunately for the little gal, she's hurt her shoulder this week :(  Was brushing my teeth and heard her yelping in the backyard so I ran out to make sure Noah hadn't hurt her and she was just standing on the concrete out the back, not wagging her tail and not moving.  She seemed sorta happy to see me which was a good start, then she limped around a bit.  Checked her paw and leg and she seemed fine - back to running around almost straight away.

Last night the vet said Indy's hurt her shoulder and whilst they're pretty sure its muscular, or soft tissue, they're doing xrays just to be sure.  Poor pup, and poor Renee.  Hopefully we'll hear from the vet real soon to say she just needs a bit of rest to let it heal and we can all breathe a bit easier.  When she's out of the vet we're gonna take her to the park or something for some extra special loving and maybe some hot chips *grin*

On the upside, Xmas is looking like quite an event at our place with all interstate people! *laugh*
