Updates :)

Quick round of updates :)  I've been on leave from work for nearly two weeks, which has been a welcome rest.  Initially my Dad was meant to go in for surgery on the 29th of December, however due to the weather outside being obscenely hot that day, they cancelled all surgeries in the afternoon due to UPS/Power risks.  That essentially gave me a week off with nothing to do *yay* :D

New Year was a quiet affair - we spent some time outside watching what we could see of neighbours' fireworks .. anyone would think fireworks were legal or something in our area ;)

After that was my 27th birthday where my beautiful gf organised a very special day for me!  I got a card made in flash especially for me, which everyone can see at : Birthday Card.  Those who know me/us will know what everything in it means/is and for those that don't know me/us, you can just use your imagination   My main present from Renee this year was three framed pictures of Zeusy which I need to find the perfect spot for and ask her really nicely to put up for me :D  Very happy indeed :)

On the 4th of January, my dad went into hospital, surgery a little before 5pm.  Everything went well and the only surprise was that they found Crohn's Disease in his small intestine which means they opted against removing the whole colon in favour of some of the colon and some of the small intestine since the greater of the two risks would be leaving the inflamed small intestine there.  On a humourous note, does that mean he has a semi-colon now? ;)  *cough cough* He's currently recovering well in a critical care unit and is looking to be moved into a ward hopefully today.

Anyways :)  Back at work today for one day before the weekend.  Had a false start this morning when I left my laptop at home *laugh* Go me ;)
