so quickly we forget

For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been starting to transition into my new role here at work.  For those who haven’t been keeping up with the times, I essentially got a promotion of sorts and we’ve hired someone to take on my previous role.

Now, the difficult part is, the guy into whose role I am moving, has almost completely moved on from what I can tell and all new work is coming to me.  That’s fine.  The problem is, he’s rarely here when the questions I can’t answer are asked of me   Aside from not being able to ask many/any questions, the new person for my role hasn’t started yet *grin*  So here I am performing all of the functions for the 7 or 8 customers I currently have (none of whom are being quiet at the moment and all of whom are having reports written this week) as well as several functions of my new job (once again, all of whom are having reports written this week and all of whom have things quietly on the go).

My brain and body have forgotten how to do more than one person’s job *laugh*
