wavelengths and tangents

<rant>

I don't expect everyone on the face of the planet to be on the same wavelength as me to know what I mean when I saw "set up all logging to (insert logging host here)", but when the log files that the logging needs to point at are like switch.log, router.log, firewall.log, surely you don't need to ask further questions if you had any idea about anything much?
