kitchen? what kitchen?

It seems as though the more that's going on in my life, the less I blog, which seems kinda counter-what-these-are-intended-for, but hey.

Last Wednesday, our friends from Wingham arrived and to be honest, it makes me smile just thinking of it   Its really good to have them with us and except for the hard work they're putting into our kitchen, I hope they've had a pretty good time so far :)

Starting on the weekend, we started some serious house-stuff, beginning with getting our bbq out and cleaned and back into the habit of being used ready for not having a kitchen *grin*  Kitchen's totally out now and being advertised for sale (know anyone in Adelaide who wants a kitchen??) and a bunch of the new carcasses were put together by the others last night.  Yesterday was painting and preparing the walls a bit for tiling and .. well, let's say they were pretty dodgy so they had a lot of work to do in just preparing the walls ;)

Plumber's also been and got everything organised ready for the dishwasher and disconnected everything else.  Electrician's been a bit of a bastard.  He was meant to come past and give a quote last night, but the knobhead called late in the day and said "how's tomorrow?".  Given that we need all the work DONE today, we said just come and do it.  He's yet to respond and of course that means we have to try and line someone else up if he screws us over (which means an exorbitant callout fee most likely).  Fucker

That said, hopefully its a quieter day for everyone today, kitchen-wise.  We're expecting most of our appliances to be delivered today and then its really just the rest of the carcasses to put together, as well as making sure that bastard electrician rocks up ;)

And on top of all that, don't even ASK about the vinyl for the floor
