saddest interview ever?
This morning, a few radio stations were doing interviews with Ray Martin to talk about his interview with Steve Irwin’s widow, Terri. Barbara Walters had already done an interview with her as well, but I hadn’t heard anything at all about that one. So I was listening to Ray Martin speak in awe about Terri and Bindi and their strength following the loss of Steve Irwin and I gotta say, I was touched.
At the end of one of the interviews with Ray Martin, they were talking about Terri Irwin commenting on the public service that was held at the Crocoseum (sp?). After that, they played the part of the interview they’d been talking about and blow me down if I wasn’t almost crying in the car on the way to work, listening to Terri talking about the love and support of Aussies.
Whatever you thought of Steve Irwin or how he dealt with animals, its really difficult (and heartless) to look past the fact that he was a husband and father, and there’s a devastated family trying to pick up the pieces behind the scenes.
