Christmas Road Trip!

Another year, another Christmas in Marrar :D


Thankfully we made bookings fairly early for the overnight stay in Mildura each way; as early as we were, we still struggled to get in anywhere!

I always enjoy Christmas in Marrar and despite Renee, Grunge and me being sick, we still had as good a time as every other year. This year was even better with more of Renee's family living there (brother, sister-in-law and kids); no stress this year of anyone having to drive back to Sydney :)

Grunge slept in another room for the first time too. We had sent up a bed rail for the bed she'd be sleeping in (she's too big for a portacot now!) and whilst some of the nights were fairly rocky, she eventually settled in. Throw in being sick and she was having 4hr naps through the day and sleeping in every morning. Happiest of days *laugh*.

Ironically, once again, Christmas day rocked up and I was up and showered at the crack of dawn whilst the rest of of the house slept. I chowed down on icy water to ease the throat infection. Renee's mum surfaced around 7ish. Renee surfaced around 8ish. Cody surfaced around 8:30am :P She slept in last year too *laugh*.

Much sugar, many presents, happy days with family :)

Annnnnd in amongst the mammoth haul of presents that Grunge received, Renee and I did fairly well too :)

Tickets to Cats and a PS3 (!!!) were the highlights for me. And for Renee, her main gift was a Kindle with an Amazon voucher and renewals of some of the accounts she uses :)

Grunge's highlights were probably her tea set and 'cookie' baking set ;)
