bugger

Ok so I arsed it.. that’s like passing but not.  Heh that is probably a play on words that really only works if you’re Australian .. or maybe British.  Either way, I’m now exhausted with no big smile on my face and to tell the truth I’m really just kind of pissed off at myself.

The Internet is full of both useless and useful shite about the exam I sat this morning and now that I’ve actually sat the exam and seen what’s in it, I have to say that useless is definitely tipping the scales right now.  Even the stuff I paid money for was only partially useful.  The questions I learnt from in there were *thinks* maybe a third of my exam?  If that and probably less.  What I did learn, I learnt really well.  I had full confidence in it and I confidently answered the questions in the exam.

What I didn’t learn however, blew my confidence in the first question.  Not even the vendor’s study guide could have prepared me for that exam according to the index.  So, my question is, you can see the exam outline online, which is fine .. but how can you confirm that what you’re studying is a) the most recent information and b) relevant, when not even the vendor keeps their information up to date?

At this stage, I’m disappointed in myself and I’m disappointed in the tools available without having to spend $100 on a book for which I still can’t even guarantee I will have all the information I need.

Bugger.

Sorry to hear that Em.

Unfortunately all my doco for that exam is about 6 years out of date, so more useless than the online crap. There is a reason I hate CISCO exams.
