Belinda Emmett loses her battle ..

One of my favourite actors, Belinda Emmett, lost her battle with cancer today.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer not that long after we lost a family member to secondary bone cancer after breast cancer, so I was fairly upset when I'd heard that she was unwell. For as long as she was still in the media, I followed her progress and gosh, for a while there, she looked like she was going to be able to walk away from it, then she got the subsequent diagnosis of bone cancer and it just seemed like it was over from there.

Over the years, 8 now .. Belinda Emmett was diagnosed at 24 and died aged 32, she started to really look like it was taking its toll. No one really ever was out there confirming that she was dying or anything - always that she was feeling quite good and believed that the alternative therapies were helping - but she was really gaunt and getting moreso as the years went on :(

My thoughts go out to both hers and Rove's families. Today is yet another sad day for the toll of cancer.
